Summer of Stories is an annual program for all ages at FCL that encourages you to read, find community, and be curious! Complete the reading goal, take part in our community missions, and collect fun prizes.

How to Participate
Sign up online or in person starting June 1.
When you sign up, you will create an online Summer of Stories account where you will log the number of hours you read, and the community missions you complete. Visit the Library to pick up a paper reading log to help track your progress.
Need help signing up for an account or logging your progress? Stop by any Information Desk at either FCL location.
Read or listen for ten hours.
Ten hours is our reading goal for all ages! All kinds of reading count toward the goal:
- Someone reading out loud to you
- Listening to audiobooks or Playaways
- Enjoying eAudiobooks or eBooks from our eLibrary collection
Complete community missions.
Complete five activities this summer to explore and connect with our community! When you complete a mission, you earn more points to put toward the grand prize lottery drawings.
Log your progress online by August 1.
Sign into your online Summer of Stories account and log the reading and missions you’ve completed to earn prizes. If you need help logging progress, stop by any Information Desk at either FCL location.
Pick up your reading prizes by August 8.
As you log the hours you read online, you earn reading prizes! Pick up prizes from either FCL location by August 8.

Select digital raffle tickets for the grand prize drawings by August 1.
When you log reading hours and missions online, you will receive points in your Summer of Stories account that can be used to select digital raffle tickets for grand prizes.
Raffle tickets must be selected by August 1; we will draw grand prize winners on August 2. Winners will be contacted by email. There will only be one winner per prize. You must use the digital raffle tickets through your online account to be included in the raffle drawings.
