Adults age 60 or older who live in Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne County qualify for free roundtrip transportation to Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) destinations for themselves and a caregiver or companion!

This limited-time transportation partnership between The Library Network, Michigan Activity Pass, and Wayne Metro aims to increase access to local cultural sites and promote social connectedness among older adults.

Who Qualifies?

You are eligible if:

  • You are age 60 or older, and
  • You live in Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne County, and
  • You have booked a MAP ticket for a venue located in one of those three counties

Note: Transportation requests must be made at least 7 days in advance through Wayne Metro.

What Is MAP?

The Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) gives Michigan library cardholders access to discounted or free admission to hundreds of cultural destinations, parks, campgrounds, and recreation areas across the state.

To book a MAP ticket:

  • Visit miactivitypass.org
  • Select your primary FCL location
  • Search for venues by name or region
  • Use your FCL library card number to book a ticket

There are over 450 destinations across Michigan! Here are just a few local highlights:

  • Detroit Historical Museum – One free admission
  • Outdoor Adventure Center – Buy one, get one free (up to 6 guests)
  • Arab American National Museum – Free admission for two
  • Peppa Pig World of Play Michigan – Save 25% on tickets
  • SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium – Save 25% on tickets
  • Cranbrook Art Museum – Free museum access (excludes special events)
  • Maybury State Park – One free day of park access
  • Michigan Philharmonic – Two-for-one tickets for select concerts
