Get free virtual tutoring in math, science, reading and writing, social studies, standardized test prep, and more. Submit homework questions or get feedback on essays and other writing assignments.

Michigan Learning Channel (K-12)
A statewide public television partnership offering free, classroom-style video lessons designed as supplemental instructional content for educators and parents. Programs include hands-on activities and are available to watch live or on-demand.

Scholastic GO! (Grades 2+)
Explore nonfiction texts, world newspapers, videos and more with this digital resource designed to strengthen content knowledge, vocabulary, and core proficiency skills.

College Apps Toolkit with EBSCO Learning Express
Students can get ready for college with EBSCO Learning Express. Access academic support, career planning tools, practice tests, learning modules, and resources for scholarships, college admissions, and career exams.

Library Collections
Parent Teacher Professional Collection
This collection supports parents, caregivers, and educators throughout every stage of a child’s development. Topics include child behavior, educational strategies, potty training, learning support in math, reading, science, and writing, as well as guidance for navigating tough situations like grief or incarceration.
This collection is located at the FCL Farmington Hills location. Items can be placed on hold for pick up at either FCL location.

Play Kits and STEM Kits
Borrow kits from the Library containing books, toys, and hands-on activities to enjoy with your child at home. These kits focus on exploring concepts such as colors, shapes and senses, animals, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

250 Books Before 6th Grade

Events that Encourage Reading
Reading with others is a great motivator for young readers! We offers regular programs for kids and teens that build literacy skills and nurture a love of reading. Check our online event calendar for upcoming dates and details.
1-2-3 Read with Me (Grades 1-3)
This new monthly book club launches in September and encourages elementary students to explore literary genres by reading books together. The club highlights a different genre each month—from mystery and spooky stories to graphic novels and more. There is no required reading—just find a book to practice reading aloud or listen to others—just come read with us!
PAWS for Reading (Grades 1-5)
Kids can practice their reading with a certified therapy dog! The dog loves listening to readers and will cheer their students on.
Books & Bites (Grades 6-12)
Teens are welcome to bring their own snacks and take part in a monthly book club, hosted by Miss Rebecca! Each month, readers will discuss a different book together.
