In-Library Services

Accessible Technology for Public Use

Select public computer stations at both FCL locations are equipped with:

  • ZoomText large print keyboards

  • ZoomText screen magnification and screen reader software

These tools support users with low vision and are available during all open hours.

Library Collections

Disability Support Collection

A range of assistive tools that support mobility, cognitive, hearing, and vision needs. Items are available at both FCL locations on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be placed on hold.

Children's Disability Support Collection

Books, games, and educational resources designed for children and pre-teens with disabilities, as well as for parents, caregivers, and educators. Materials include:

  • Adapted learning tools and games
  • Books for and about children with disabilities
  • Guides and support materials for adults

This collection is located at FCL Farmington Hills, but items can be placed on hold for pickup at either location.
