Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books, 2021Are you in 6th-8th grade? Do you enjoy reading? Do you like making and dressing up in costumes? Are you pretty decent at trivia?
If the answer to any of those questions was ‘yes’ (and especially if the answer to all of them was ‘yes’!) grab some friends, create a team, and join this year’s Battle of the Books!
Battle of the Books is a program designed to encourage reading and to give recognition to those who like to read. Team members read from a selected list of books and then participate in a battle where they compete with other teams by answering questions based on the books. Prizes are given to the three top scoring teams and the three teams with the best costumes.
Thank you to the Farmington Friends of the Library for sponsoring this great program! |
Battle of the Books 2021 registration will begin February 12, 2021.
This year’s Battle will be held on Monday, April 19, at 7 p.m. At the moment, we are planning for a virtual Battle, but hoping that we can gather at The Hawk, the brand-new community center!
Photos from last year’s Battle are available on Facebook.
