Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books, 2018

Are you in 6th-8th grade? Do you enjoy reading? Do you like making and dressing up in costumes? Are you pretty decent at trivia?

If the answer to any of those questions was ‘yes’ (and especially if the answer to all of them was ‘yes’!) grab some friends, create a team, and join this year’s Battle of the Books!

Battle of the Books is a program designed to encourage reading and to give recognition to those who like to read. Team members read from a selected list of books and then participate in a battle where they compete with other teams by answering questions based on the books. Prizes are given to the top scoring team and the team with the best costumes.

Thank you to the Farmington Friends of the Library for sponsoring this great program!

Battle of the Books 2018 registration began February 16, 2018.

This year’s Battle will be held on Monday, April 23, at 7 pm at the William Costick Activities Center.

Photos from last year’s Battle are available on Facebook.
