The Pimsleur Language Series is now available in digital format and can be checked out and downloaded to your Home PC or laptop computer, or transferred to portable devices. The Series is available for download only from home, and not from within the Library. A total of 142 titles are available to help you learn 47 language choices. These titles are provided to you through the Farmington Community Library's subscription to NetLibrary.
To access the Language Series, you must use the menu choices at left to:
- First, create a free NetLibrary account, which can be done only from a Library public-access computer, and not from home. It needs to be done only once.
- Second, once the free account with NetLibrary has been created, use the second menu choice when at home to log in to NetLibrary and access the Plimseur Language materials to download your selection.

Creating a Free NetLibrary Account(Must be done from a Public-Access Computer within the Library) |
If you don't already have an account, you will need to create a NetLibrary user account from within one of our public access computers. Ask a librarian for assistance, or print out and follow these three easy steps:
- On one of our public-access computers, enter www.netlibrary.com and use the Create a Free Account link.
- Enter your identifying information (make up a user name, a password, and enter your email address).
- Select the Submit button.

Accessing and Using Pimsleur Language Materials for Download |
Each time you wish to access the Pimsleur Language materials you will be prompted to login. We suggest you print out these steps, and then follow them.
- 1. Go to www.netlibrary.com and enter your user name and password from the free account you created in the login box that appears.
- 2. Click the red Log in button
- 3. You now have access to all the Pimsleur Language materials.
- 4. Click on eAudiobooks. The screen will display a list of featured titles. To see a list of the entire collection, click on List all eAudiobooks.
- 5. You may also find these titles when searching the Farmington Community Library's online catalog. Follow the 'click here' link to the download page.
- 6. Select the Download this eAudiobook link.
- 7. Click Checkout & Download CD Quality to start the download.
- 8. In the File Download window, click Save. (Select an appropriate save to folder on your computer).
- 9. When the file download is complete, click the Open button to launch Windows Media Player.
- 10. You may listen from your computer or transfer the file to your MP3 player.
