The Library Board of the Farmington Community Library will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 27 2020 at 4:00 p.m. This meeting will be held electronically. To attend, please follow these instructions.

Welcome back! We have missed you! The Library is now in Phase 4 of our Reopening Plan. Library hours are Monday 12-7, Tuesday 12-6, Thursday 12-7, Friday 12-6, and Saturday 9-3. We will be closed to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays. Patrons may browse collections, ask for reference assistance, pick up holds, renew or apply for a Library card, and use self-checkout stations with a library card or scannable digital version. Curbside service will remain open. For computer appointments, please call the Library during open hours. Please continue to use the outdoor book drops to return your items. Children’s Outreach Services

The Farmington Community Library provides outreach services to children and their caregivers. Services may target child care facilities, preschools, classes in public or private schools, community centers, residential care facilities, or local businesses or organizations engaged in services to youth. Some outreach services currently offered by the Children’s Staff include:

  • Story time visits to support literacy and promote library programs and services
  • Library tours
  • Deposit collections of materials delivered to child care and preschool facilities
  • Themed materials for use by child care and preschool facilities
  • Material selection services to supplement lesson plans
  • Continuing education workshops for child care providers conducted by the Early Learning Communities, Early On, Great Start, and other organizations.
