Featured sites are hand-selected by editors and organized into intuitive categories, such as bestseller lists, genres, book reviews, electronic texts, book news and more.
Maintained by Margaret Anderson, an actual Librarian in Connecticut, this continously-updated site offers a wealth of information about books and reading.
A British site offering information on over 30,000 authors and 300,000 books, tracing new and forthcoming titles, and much more.
In January 2010, the website "ipl2: information you can trust" was launched, merging the collections of resources from the Internet Public Library (IPL) and the Librarians' Internet Index (LII) websites. The site is hosted by Drexel University's College of Information Science & Technology, and a consortium of colleges and universities with programs in information science are involved in developing and maintaining the ipl2.
LibraryThing is an online service to help people catalog their books easily. You can access your catalog from anywhere—even on your mobile phone. Because everyone catalogs together, LibraryThing also connects people with the same books, comes up with suggestions for what to read next, and so forth. It is also integrated with the Farmington Community Library's Online Catalog.
