Welcome to the Farmington Community Library's Mouse Class!
This class is designed to teach the computer mouse to the beginning learner.
Lets's get started!

1. Holding the Mouse

  • Put your right hand on the mouse. Rest you hand on the bottom of the mouse. Your thumb should rest along the left side of the mouse, and your pinky and ring finger should rest on the right side of the mouse.
  • Let your index finger rest on the left mouse button, and your middle rest on the right button.

2. Moving the Mouse

  • Keep your mouse pointing north. The top of the mouse, where you see the "tail" should point AWAY from you.
  • Move the mouse, keep it pointed north. Move it up and down, and side to side. But keep the mouse pointed north!

3. Clicking

  • Click the left mouse button with your index finger. Click firmly and quickly, as if you are touching a number on a touch tone phone.

Good! Now put your mouse on the number below and click.
